Date - Saturday 5 Jan 2019 - 6 Jan 2019
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Rd, Camden Town, London, NW1 7AY United Kingdom
Saturday 5th January (10-18:00; doors open at 9.15) and Sunday 6th January (12:00-18:00).
Our guest speaker this year is Samantha M. who brings her experience as an addiction counsellor in the USA and that of her 23 years’ relationship sobriety to the Convention. Having worked extensively with those suffering from trauma, addictions, and allied psychiatric problems, she understands the power of the 12 Steps used in conjunction with other therapeutic disciplines.
John B. (UK) will be talking on the topic “Opening The Heart – A Work In Progress”: how our growing understanding of shame, attachment and trauma can only reinforce the miraculous work of the 12 Steps to help us treat ourselves and others with love and compassion. Recovering from chemical and sex and love addiction for many years, John B. sees recovery as an ongoing, deepening process – there is no graduation.
In addition, there will be a huge variety of meetings and speakers covering lots of different recovery topics in multiple breakout rooms. Plus opportunities for connection and fellowship!
Nearest underground is Camden Town. Bus routes are 274 and C2.
Tickets cost £15 each (plus 35p processing fee per ticket).
If you are interested in doing service at the convention or on the convention committee, please email email@example.com or join the committee meetings which will be leading up to the convention.
