The SLAAUK Treasurer position is open from the date of the next Intergroup - Saturday February 14th 2009.The new Treasurer will need to have at least 6 months of bottom-line sobriety and have attended at least 2 separate Intergroup meetings.The role will last for 2 years - until February 2011.The service involves compiling the regular quarterly Financial Report, checking the bank accounts, chasing & paying in donations, paying for services such as Public Liability Insurance, website development, donating to F.W.S (who coordinate SLAA internationally), coordinating with the National Literature Officer & other committees, etc. This involves 2-3 work days spread out sparingly over each quarter. Volunteers will need to be present & voted for at the next Intergroup meeting, to be held in London.Failure to fill the vacancy will necessitate transferring the funds to F.W.S. to maintain fellowship unity, and closing the UK accounts.
