Intergroup is an opportunity for representatives of UK meetings to gather and debate various issues affecting the running of the Fellowship. For example, how best to use the donations from meetings for different initiatives. It’s also an opportunity for pressing issues raised by group conscience at local level to have an airing and even an influence on the running of the Fellowship. Service positions are also covered at Intergroup, as some people will have completed a term of service and will wish to hand over their commitments to new volunteers.
It’s not quite as dull as it sounds. Meeting groups from around the country creates a rather special atmosphere of Fellowship which alone is worth the experience of attendance.
There is a GSR travel assistance fund for traveling to Intergroup Meetings click here for more info
