Hi EveryoneSLAA has been recommended to me recently by a therapist, and I'm keen to attend a local meeting. My nearest groups are Wimbledon and Roehampton. Does anyone out there go to either of these groups and would they recommend one or other for any particular reason? At this stage I'm not sure which to go to. Ideally I'm looking for a group that's friendly and welcoming - the thought of turning up for the first session on my own is a bit intimidating! I'd welcome hearing from anyone who knows one or other of these groups.CheersJude

Hi Jude,
I know people at both meetings: they're a friendly bunch, and will welcome newcomers. As Roehampton is at the Priory hospital, I'd guess they get a few more newcomers there, while you might find more sobriety at Wimbledon.

Hi Jude
I tend to go to both meetings and there are others that join both. The Roehampton meeting is a SLAA HOW while Wimbeldon is SLAA. I suggest give both a go and see what suits you and your schedule best- it doesn't matter, you can change your mind any time.
Aforesaid tall chap is right, we are a friendly bunch, come along and say Hi, talk to one or two of us after the meeting.
Faithful in prayer, anticipating abundance.
