infoline and web support

I have always found it difficult to get through to the info-line. Either it is unavailabe, or if i do get to leave a message, no-one calls me back. Is anyone else experiencing these problems? Also, contacting the web page seems incredibly slow. Other fellowships i've been involved with aim to get back within 24 hrs. Why does SLAA need 28 days? There must surely be still-suffering sex and love addicts out there who deserve a quicker response from this "fellowship".

Your message suggests you have called more than once. The info-line is meant for a once-only use per person - generally for newcomers to enquire about the proximity of meetings. That is all it is designed for. Once that call is made, all further enquiries from the same person can then be addresed to their local meeting.
As far as the website is concerned, only 1 or 2 people have ever volunteered to work on this, hence the inevitable delay in relaying information. Extra volunteers are always needed to help on the info-line and the website. If you feel strongly enough to help, contact your local Group Representative & attend Intergroup, where you will be very welcome to help us out.
